I'm from the countryside, but I got jaw surgery in Seoul in October 2019.
At the time, I didn't want to get a major surgery like jaw surgery, but the timing was good, and I managed to save up the money, so I ended up getting it done!
To be honest, I thought jaw surgery was one of the most difficult plastic surgeries, and I thought I might die while getting it done, but I made up my mind to get it done while I had the chance in my life, and got on the surgery table. (People who were born with pretty faces should be grateful to their parents a hundred or a thousand timesㅠ)
Anyway, I underwent general anesthesia + major surgery, and was hospitalized for a day. Since I'm from the countryside, I was discharged the next day with a
red face ㅋㅋ My face was swollen like ET, and I wasn't even wearing a mask at the time, but anyone who saw me rode the KTX and looked like I had surgery on my face.
I stayed home since then and went up to Seoul every week or two. I think the first month was the hardest?
It was a 4-hour bus ride, but after a month, I looked like an invalid... My appearance... I'll
skip over the detailed review, but anyway, it was really hard.
And now that the swelling is starting to go down and I'm starting to look
like a person, COVID-19 broke out (ㅋㅋI barely had the surgery) and I had to wear a mask and cover my lower body, which was a shame. Before the surgery, I would have been a magician.
They say that side effects can include paresthesia or a swollen nose, but I don't think I've had any so far. Even
now, two years after safely getting double jaw surgery, I get scared when I see side effects or videos of double jaw surgery on YouTube. ㅠㅠ My friends are all curious because they often get double jaw surgery or nose jobs, but double
jaw surgery is a really rare case
. I had all kinds of worries before the surgery, but if you're like me in the past who
has a complex about your chin, I recommend doing some research and getting a consultation with the director yourself! To be honest, you can't ignore a chin complex. ㅠ When I was young, my nickname was "chin stone." (I'm a woman) It's good that I have character, but I was deeply hurt emotionally.
Anyway, has it been two years?? I've had double jaw surgery for almost 3 years now and I'm still getting braces, but I think it was a good decision to have the surgery!
I don't know how things will change in 10 years or what it will be like after the braces are removed, but I'm sure it's better because my lower jaw has become shorter than before I had double jaw surgery . Conclusion: It's been 3 years since
I had double jaw surgery and
there are still no side effects.
