I guess humans are forgetful creatures. For 2 weeks after the surgery, I couldn't breathe properly, couldn't sleep properly, couldn't eat properly, and had to go on a forced diet. It was so hard and uncomfortable. Even if I could turn back time, I would 100% have the surgery again...ㅎㅎ
When I started experiencing secondary sexual characteristics in middle school, my face started to become asymmetry, and as you can see in the picture, my jaw is crooked to the left, and because of that, my jaw length is different, so I have a slightly protruding chin. At first, I didn't know, but as I kept hearing from people around me that my jaw was crooked, everyone I met started to care about their jaw, and I thought, "They know my jaw is asymmetrical, but they don't tell me because they're afraid of getting hurt." It became a serious complex, so I decided to get the surgery at Waigang!
It's been 6 months since I had the double jaw and contour 2 (square jaw + front jaw) surgery, and I have almost no discomfort right now.
If I have to be specific, very occasionally the center lines of the upper and lower teeth do not match due to the regression function? But if I do jaw joint exercises, they will return to the correct position...?
When I went for a regular checkup a few days ago, I told the director that my teeth are all aligned and there is no problem with chewing and swallowing food, so orthodontic treatment is not necessary, and that they will just orthodontic treatment if it looks uncomfortable.
It is not uncomfortable enough to require orthodontic treatment, so I decided to just live with it.
After the surgery, I bought a compression band online and used it regularly to manage swelling and elasticity, and I used a lifting machine for home care, and it definitely got better.
So personally, that part is not a big problem!
Now I am thinking about whether or not to get the pins removed within a year, and since the cost is a concern, I think this is my biggest concern these days. ㅠㅠ Since
these pins can cause problems when I get an MRI or something in the future, I think it is right to remove them, but they cut my gums again and suture them... If I don't get the pins removed within a year, the muscles and flesh can fuse with the pins, making it harder to remove them later, and they may not be able to be removed, so they said to get them done within a year.
I'll think about it until my next regular checkup and bring you another review! Haha
