Hello,
I had severe prognathism and was very stressed because the space was visible when I closed my mouth.
I decided to get surgery and went to 2 hospitals for consultation and 5 dental clinics, but they all said that I was a bimaxillary case, so I gathered my courage and started with the missionary surgery.
After finishing the missionary surgery for 1 year and 6 months,
I started looking for a hospital and since I had orthodontic treatment at the dentist, I thought that bimaxillary surgery would be better for me, so I chose Waigugang. After the surgery schedule and going to the internal medicine department for various tests (blood tests, chest X-rays, etc.), there were no problems, so I went ahead
with the surgery! So I ended up getting the bimaxillary surgery, square jaw, and prognathism!
On the
first day of the surgery,
the director explained the surgery method and the amount of jaw change, etc., and after confirming that the wafer device was well-fitting, I went into the surgery.
I don't even remember that I was under anesthesia, and I only remember that part where they fixed my body so that I couldn't move while lying down. Usually, they put me under anesthesia~ They say count to 10, but I really don't remember anything, and when I closed my eyes and opened them, the surgery was over.
The first day, my nose was intubated so I could breathe well.. I just passed by in a daze because of the anesthesia.
On the second day,
my nose was blocked, phlegm was coming up, and breathing was difficult..!
I didn't fix my maxilla, so I could breathe through my mouth, but it was still uncomfortable and hardㅜㅜ
The nurse said that I was in really good condition, but what about other people... On this day, they took out the stuff in my nose, the blood bag, and the catheter. ㅎㅎ
On the third day,
my face swelled up. Am I the type that doesn't swell? Do I do well in surgery? It's uselessㅎ
I didn't know I would swell up this muchㅎㅎ When I see this much swelling, it seems that double jaw surgery was a major surgery.
But what's really satisfying is that my malocclusion disappeared right after the surgery, so I thought to myself, "I'll just endure this!" ㅎㅎ I
received my medication and listened to the precautions and was discharged that day. I don't mind not having a guardian during my hospitalization, but I think it would be better to have a guardian on the way home!
Day 4~5
On the 4th day, I sprayed Otrivin for the first time and it was effective for meㅎㅎ Now my nose is getting clearer day by day!
My face is getting more swollenㅜㅜ I think it will take a week..
But the effect is good, so I'll hold on! I'll hold on,, this thoughtㅎㅎ
From this point on, I can breathe a little better so I'm really hungryㅜㅜ
I'm only eating Newcare, ionic drinks, and 100% Bonjuk, so I'm so sadㅜㅜ
I used to live for the joy of eatingㅠㅠ ㅎㅎ
But I'll lose weight! This mindsetㅎㅎ
In the 1st~2nd week,
I got my stitches out and my mouth was able to open well, so I'm almost back to my daily life!
I think things will get really better if I just hold on for the first weekㅜㅜ!!
I can breathe better and my runny nose and phlegm are gone now! It's still so swollen that it's embarrassing to walk around, but the swelling is going down day by day!
Now I'm eating regular porridge, seaweed soup, and soft bread!
I was so grateful that the hospital took such good care of me until they took out the stitches, and the director was so kind and cared for me and worried about my concernsㅜㅜ
