As someone who suffers from facial asymmetry, malocclusion, and severe stress due to my appearance, I will tell
you a story about double jaw surgery . Since I was young, my jaw was exposed,
I had severe malocclusion
, and my occlusion did not match. I also suffered a lot from temporomandibular joint pain, so double jaw
surgery was a must-have for me ㅠㅠ
After a week of double jaw surgery, when I went to get it disinfected, it hurt so much when I opened my mouth,,,
I learned how to put on a rubber band, and I remember it being harder than I thought ㅋㅋㅋ
But since I could feel a lot of changes in my face after double jaw surgery, I was able to overcome the hardships!
After about 2 months, the swelling went down a lot and
I could see my facial contour line becoming prettier. I could eat everything except for hard foods, and
I was really excited about how I would change as time went on!
3/4 months ago, I met my friends for the first time in a long time and drank alcohol and
ate food without being picky. ㅎㅎ
My acquaintances whom I met after a long time all said that I looked pretty. Friends who didn't know that I had double jaw surgery told me that I looked even prettier. When I heard that, I felt proud!!
I also worked hard on jaw exercises. (The effect of jaw opening exercises is really important.)
I felt relieved to see that my facial line was continuously being refined, and
I hoped that the small swelling would go down soon...ㅋㅋㅋ
It's currently the 6th month!! Now, the big and small swellings on my face seem to have gone down, and
I like my jaw line more than before! It seems that my occlusion is also being adjusted well thanks to orthodontic treatment, so chewing
has definitely become easier. >0< Before double jaw surgery, I didn't take selfies very often and just avoided them,
but now I've found the joy of taking selfies(?) and I've become confident in front of the camera. ㅎㅎ>
