When I was young, I didn't know what malocclusion was. As I grew up, I graduated from girls' middle school and was never teased, so I didn't have any outward stress. However, eating was always uncomfortable. I also had indigestion
and couldn't cut noodles with my front teeth, so it was difficult. Since I started working, corrections were recommended. After receiving the treatment, I looked into various dentists whenever I
had time. However, when I went for a consultation, all the dentists recommended double jaw surgery. They said that they would never be able to straighten my jaw with
orthodontic treatment alone. So while I was looking into it, I found out about Y Oral Surgery, which can perform both orthodontics and surgery, so I set up a consultation date right away. I went there.
When I first entered the hospital, there was a YouTube video of the director on the wall, so I trusted it more.
The director was very kind and I liked that he clearly told me whether this would work or not. After that, I received a consultation from the director, and the director said that I would look much prettier after the surgery, so I felt better about my appearance later. I was looking forward to it haha.
So, I decided on correction + double jaw surgery + 2 types of contouring on the same day.
*In my case, I had correction for a little over 7 months before the surgery.
So now, it has already been 3 months since the double jaw surgery~
One month . Compared to tea, eating, chewing, and everyday life are all easier. I can
eat whatever I want and eat as much as I want, but I had a habit of chewing on my right side before the surgery, so I am careful to chew on both sides.
The swelling in my mouth, which took the longest, has gone down a lot, so I don't have to say it anymore. Otherwise, I’ll live a life where I don’t even know I had surgery!
And my friends also told me that the swelling had gone down a lot compared to the first month, and when I looked at the pictures,
I saw that it had really gone down a lot haha. Even acquaintances I saw after a long time said that they didn't know I had surgery because my face was so small and that there was no sagging, so I wondered why I had worried about getting it done sooner. The best part is when I put on makeup. I wasn't able to apply my lipstick and put on a lipstick, but after 3 months, I can now do it!!!
Looking back at the pre-surgery photo, I wonder if it really is my face.
There is nothing uncomfortable, and there is still some swelling in my chin. Nevertheless, I like the noticeably smaller face, and I am curious and looking forward to seeing what I will look like in 6 months.
