But when I actually went to the place where correction was done, they told me that I had already grown excessively and that there was no other treatment that would be effective other than surgery, so I thought I would have to have surgery.!
2. Reason for choosing oral and maxillofacial surgery
Well, at first, I looked into a lot of places, but since I live in Busan, I went to a private hospital that performs surgery in Busan and also received consultation at a university hospital. But at that time, I didn't want to do some surgery in Busan, so I thought it would be safer to have it done in Seoul, so I looked into hospitals in Seoul and made an appointment for the surgery. However, the day of the surgery was almost there, but the correction was very wrong, so it was much different from what was planned, so they decided to wait a little longer for the surgery.
At that time, the director of the orthodontic clinic where I was working said, “Among the orthodontic patients, there is a patient who went to IU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and had successful surgery. Would you like to go there?” I asked and received a letter of recommendation, and I think I had a good feeling about it. They explained the surgery and the process in detail from start to finish, and I felt different from other hospitals, so I thought I should have it done at this hospital!
Well, it's been two months since I had the surgery, and I'm very satisfied. I didn't expect my external appearance to look good, but I'm very satisfied with my external appearance. Everyone around me says I look a lot better, and I'm so happy that my pronunciation and malocclusion are gone. I had the surgery.
