I'm one of those people who started getting braces in the third year of middle school and regrets it so much...
I didn't even really feel the need for braces
in the first place, so I started because my parents forced me to get braces. All I could think about was that I wanted to get the braces off as soon as possible.
I didn't want to be scared, so I decided not to have my teeth extracted. So, my mouth ended up protruding (originally it was just plain).
The doctor didn't even align the center line of my teeth and left one of my front teeth sticking out even more, so the asymmetry of my teeth was very visible when I smiled. At the time,
I just liked it because it was done, but now, a few years later, my appearance has changed. After I became interested, I regretted it so much.
I wish I had checked more carefully then...
