A review from a little over a year after double jaw surgery!!
I also looked here and there before getting orthodontic treatment, so I'm
going to write this in the hopes that it might be of some help.
First of all, as for the side effects that everyone is worried about,
for example, nose swelling or paresthesia,
I was very worried about these two things, but in the case of
nose swelling, I was very worried. There was absolutely nothing!!
Does it actually make your mouth look sharper?
In fact, people around me said that my nose seemed to have gotten a little higher haha.
And there were cases of sensory abnormalities.
I felt a strange and tingling sensation even when I touched the tip of my chin.
However, this was something I was told before the surgery, and
it would gradually return in about a year. I heard the story and
it seemed like I was able to get through it without much worry,
so there were no inconveniences, and maybe that's why it's almost gone now that it's been a little over a year haha.
However, the slight tingling sensation remains, which bothers me, but
I think this will gradually get better. Listen to this haha
Other than that, I have a blemish on my lower teeth??
I kind of expected that this would happen after correction, but
since it has happened, it's been a bit like that every time I look in the mirror. But
since it's an area that's not visible at all during everyday life,
I'm trying not to pay attention to it.
Oh, and it's not a side effect, but if there's anything that has changed, it's
the cheek fat. This happened!!
I guess it's because my chin, which used to have a long chin, has shrunk
, but I, who had no fat on my face, have started to get fat on my cheeks
. At first, I thought it was swelling, but it hasn't gone down for a year.
So now I'm giving up... Haha,
anyway, I think the side effects I feel are like this haha. I
'm very satisfied with the result, but
the degree of side effects is different for each person, and it's a very big and difficult surgery, so I hope everyone thinks carefully before getting the surgery!!
