Hello,
it's already been 3 months since I had double jaw + 2 types of contouring (square jaw, front jaw) surgery, so I'm writing a review!
Since I was in the upper grades of elementary school, my lower jaw seemed to stick out more than my upper jaw. I went to the dentist, but they said my jaw wouldn't fit even after correction, so I didn't do correction, but I continued to care about my jaw.
Even as an adult, I continued to have a complex about my jaw, but double jaw surgery was a major surgery, so I was very scared and had to wait for the recovery period. I needed time to have it, so I put it off again and again, and I thought that if I put it off any longer, I wouldn't be able to do it for the rest of my life, so I had the surgery at Waigugang!
It seems like time has passed faster since it's been three months compared to one month.
When I went back to work and went about my daily life, the swelling went down noticeably.
I still feel like I still have some swelling in my front cheekbones and philtrum, but I'm not worried because they say the swelling will continue to go down for up to 6 months.
I felt like my recovery was slow, so I bought some red ginseng, took vitamins, and put a lot of effort into recovering my health.
It's nice to be able to eat more food than I did a month after surgery!
But I still don’t eat thick pork belly or anything that’s tough and hard. I really want to eat octopus haha. Things like shabu-shabu, which is a dish that is drowned in water, or steamed ribs, are really good to eat!
Maybe it's because my bite is still awkward, but it's rather difficult to eat leafy vegetables like cilantro, perilla leaves, and lettuce.
Also, everything is fine except for the difficulty when I go to the orthodontist because my mouth doesn't open very much.
He said I need to practice opening my mouth more. Time will solve the problem, so I didn't want to wait. When I was
young, I saw a lot of friends who had braces, and after trying it myself, I realized that braces really helped me. It's a tough fight... haha.
It hurts because the braces chafe my mouth, but the wonder of our body is that it adapts quickly... haha
Also, a lot of food gets stuck in the braces, so I think I have to brush my teeth for 30 minutes at a time. Brushing your teeth more thoroughly may actually be a good thing.
It's surprising that the feeling in your chin is coming back, as it feels very itchy when you touch it. When I hear people around me say things have changed, I feel like my hard work was worth it.
I will continue to be careful and take good care of it and come back with my next review!
