I had surgery in August of last year, and my level 3 malocclusion was corrected and I was able to enjoy normal writing activities.
Since I had bad temporomandibular joints, I tried to get surgery at a hospital that mainly performs IVRO surgery (commonly known as solidarity surgery).
This is because it was thought that the IVRO method was more advantageous in positioning the temporomandibular joint than the SSRO method.
(This is the claim of a person who mainly performs IVRO surgery, rather than my claim.)
In the end, I chose the SSRO method of surgery, but not because I disliked IVRO, but
because I thought IVRO would be a little more difficult in the recovery process after surgery.
The results after surgery can be summarized as follows.
disadvantage.
1. The temporomandibular joint has not completely improved, but has improved to some extent
. 2. It has been about a year since the surgery, but the nerves have not completely returned. Some tingling sensation still remains.
(But I have a feeling that it will all come back someday. I'm very certain... so I'm not worried)
3. My front teeth are so cold that it's very difficult to drink cold water.
4. Since there was nothing I was looking for in terms of aesthetics, I just left it to the bottom. It's a shame that the facial lines could have been changed a bit if the surgeon had made an active appeal
(but it's not a big shame.)
5. The advantage is that the nose spreads out a lot
.
1. Became a human being. Before that, I liked the word dinosaur statue, but I just didn't want to look at it.
2. I am very good at eating all kinds of noodles.
3. Even considering the above shortcomings, I believe that double jaw surgery is absolutely necessary for patients with grade 1 to 3 malocclusion.
4. It doesn’t matter whether the advantage is external or functional.
5. Regardless of whether the nose is puffy or the face is sagging, it is very advantageous for future plastic surgery because the center of the face is adjusted as much as possible.
(However, I never recommend double jaw surgery for plastic surgery purposes.)
I don't know how helpful it will be because I wrote it without any hesitation . Please leave a comment and I will answer in as much detail as possible.
