It will soon be two years since I had correction with Invisalign! at las! I am entering the final stage of orthodontic treatment, so I am leaving a brief review. I am in the process of orthodontic treatment after extracting 4 teeth to create a protruding mouth. Now, people around me are surprised that my mouth has moved in so much...ㅠ I'm so happy. I feel like I've moved in about 1cm in about 2 years! Since the mouth is full, it definitely makes the nose look taller, and the face shape itself has become a little slimmer! And my chin has improved a bit! Other than the teeth, I was most satisfied with the fact that the nose seemed to be raised together. My nose wasn't naturally low, but since it was protruding, my nose looked relatively low. However, there are definitely disadvantages to correction. ㅠㅠ I knew that my teeth were healthy, but after starting braces, my teeth felt sore even if I drank cool water in the refrigerator. Before braces, my teeth didn't feel sensitive even when I ate ice cream. After tooth extraction and artificially moving the teeth, I feel like my teeth are weakening a lot. Even though I was told that the roots were deep enough to require two orthodontic treatments, I definitely felt like my teeth were weakened. If your roots are not deep, before correction, be sure to check with your doctor in advance to see what side effects may occur after correction! Also, around the time I started orthodontic treatment, my friend laid a railroad track for non-extraction teeth, so I think I can make a quick comparison with regular orthodontic treatment. The biggest advantage of rail compared to Invisalign is that there is no need to attach or detach the device yourself. If you want to minimize delay/extension of the correction period, I personally recommend going by rail. Invisalign is a transparent device that is continuously replaced at regular intervals. So there are a lot of variables. For example, if you take the device out for a meal and then leave it at a restaurant and lose it (if you lose it..._), you will have to scan your teeth again, have the device made, and wear it. At this time, it takes about a month just to manufacture the device. It is said that it takes a long time because the scan file is sent to the United States, the device is manufactured there, and then it is shipped overseas to Korea. Even if it is not lost, there are many cases where the device does not fit properly on the teeth and floats while worn, so if the float is severe, the device may be remanufactured. If I had known about this part before proofreading, I might have laid the railroad tracks too..ㅠ How can I lose this? I thought so, but there was a time when I was cleaning the house and I just threw away the following device without realizing it ^^........ Once you lay the railroad, you can't lose it even if you want to, and if you go to the dentist, most things can be done within a week. Summary This means that compared to railroad tracks, Invisalign is more likely to delay correction! It got a little long as I wrote it down, so I'll just leave it here. Unless the malocclusion is severe, I think you should look into orthodontic treatment for aesthetic purposes. It might be more correct to think of choosing aesthetics over functional defects. I chose orthodontics because the latter was more important to me! I hope this article helps those who are considering Invisalign!!
