I was going to write a review, but I was lazy so I only looked at the information I needed and left...
Today is the 9th day since I had my jaw wide open.
From the first day to the third day after the surgery, I experienced almost the same things as you all... Swelling, bruising, eating, etc.
Since I enjoy smoking and drinking, it was hard to resist the temptation, so I started smoking on the 5th day. Aside from the soreness in my lips due to the scar when I smoke, I haven't experienced any inflammation or swelling that hasn't gone down yet because of smoking...
However, since everyone's needs may vary, I hope you don't do such dangerous things.
I constantly used hot compresses to reduce the swelling, and from the 5th day, I walked around the playground for two hours... Aside from elementary school students staring at me strangely, there wasn't much to worry about...
The swelling and bruising started to noticeably go down on the 7th day, and yesterday, it went down so much that I even went out. I still have bruises and bloodshot eyes...but I covered them with horn-rimmed glasses and a hat that I wanted to wear so badly (the outline isn't clear because of the swelling after the surgery, but my cheekbones and chin have shrunk so much that they look good on me even though they're swollen) and met a friend.
I'm 27 years old, and one of my friends since I was a baby was secretly jealous of my face, saying it looked like my elementary school face...I thought I was going to fly.
My right side is a little more swollen than my left, and my cheekbones and jaw joint hurt a little when I chew...I'm worried because I've read in many reviews that this can happen, but I'm trying not to worry about it
. Before the surgery, I had a severe cheekbone and square face shape, so if you were to rank people's faces, I would've been competing for 1st or 2nd place. My face was not inferior to anyone ㅠㅠ Even to men ㅠㅠ
After the surgery, the difficult and agonizing time has passed, and I'm a little more confident. I, who didn't even look in the mirror when washing my hands in the bathroom, and who was afraid of elevators painted with mirrors and had to walk up the stairs, now check my face in every place it's reflected and feel relieved and secretly happy~
I didn't get surgery to become pretty~
I just wanted to have a normal-sized face like everyone else...
Fortunately, I'm satisfied right now... I'll probably be happy when the swelling goes down a bit...^^ I
couldn't control my appetite yesterday and ate a lot of dumplings, hot bars, a bottle of Capri, and stone pot udon... The wounds in my mouth have healed a lot, so the stitches are melting here and there and fraying... Will I be okay? ㅋㅋ
I'm writing this at dawn when I couldn't sleep, so the beginning and the end may not match well... I believe you understand this.
And seniors who did jaw reduction first~
When I make an expression on my right cheekbone and jaw, it gets a little lumpy and painful... The left side is fine, but the right side is the same, so I'm anxious. Is there anyone who was like me and got back to normal?
