It's been 17 days since I had square jaw and wide jaw surgery.
I had high hopes that in 17 days, the swelling would go down and I would be able to see my slimmer appearance,
but it's not that~~right~~ time.
Sometimes when I look at reviews on Sungyesa,
there are people who write reviews saying things like "what if it'll be like in 2 weeks?" or "that time" as if their appearance became slimmer in just 2 weeks, but I'm suspicious of those reviews...ㅡㅡ;;
Of course, the doctor at the hospital where I had the surgery said that although major swelling
goes down quickly,
it can take at least 6 months
for the final results to come out, depending on the person .
Even after hearing that,
after reading the reviews on Sungyesa
, I secretly hoped that...my face would become slimmer in 2 weeks.
But...that was just a wish.
So, what's my current condition?
The 2nd or
3rd day after the surgery, the swelling went down day by day, but
there hasn't been any progress for the past few days.
It still looks round when viewed from the front
(the cheekbones and the angles on the sides have definitely decreased. Although, before the surgery,
they weren't round when viewed from the front..)
So I'm a little disappointed, not really disappointed .
When I went to the hospital for a follow-up the other day, I told
the doctor
that the swelling has been going down slowly lately and I was upset, but
the doctor said,
"Swelling will go down with time..
Don't be too hasty.
Just having the surgery is
already half the success, and
the other half is the battle against time
until the surgery settles in .
It's only been two weeks since you had the surgery.
If you had the old oral incision method,
you wouldn't have been able to walk around like this two weeks after the jaw surgery and
would have been
waiting for the swelling to go down ~~"
......................ㅡㅡ;;
I felt a little comforted by those words, and I also
didn't think
that I would be getting my jaw and cheekbones shaved and going to work after only six days of vacation .
Even I was amazed that I could go back to work in just 6 days, but I still
wanted to get the results quickly so I could wear a hat, put my hair up in a half-updo, and
wear my bangs up.
Right before I left the hospital, the head of the consultation room at the hospital where I had the surgery
told me that the swelling and settling in after the facial contouring surgery
doesn’t go down continuously, but
rather in steps
that go down all the way, then go down a little slower,
then go down all the way again, and go down slower again, and so
I shouldn’t be discouraged.
This isn’t my second time getting facial contouring surgery, but my first, so I have no choice but to believe it.
Still…
my cheekbones have gone down and my square jaw has definitely disappeared, and
when I touch my jawline, I can feel the small bones that are different from before, so
I’m going to hold on and wait a few more months to see
if I can get the face shape I want… I’ll look forward to it.
To those of you considering contouring surgery...
Don't be too swayed by the rumors that your face
will become slimmer in just a few days after the surgery. If you
're considering contouring surgery, I
recommend setting aside a certain amount of time for it. However, I
'm not disappointed
in having the surgery just because of the pain .
I feel relieved that I've finally solved a complex that I had all my life.
