When I was young, I was told that I was pretty but had a long chin.
It wasn't something I had to bother with, but my personality is perfectionistic and I am very obsessive about my appearance, so I always put myself down on my appearance.
(Earlier this year, I didn't like my eyes, so I had double eyelid surgery at a local one-person hospital.)
This is the beginning.
I recently gained 10kg of weight...^^;
Perhaps because of that, my self-esteem suddenly dropped and I began to feel dissatisfied with my appearance.
If you look at the side view, you will see that he originally has no facial fat and his jawline is very sharp and slim, but he has gained weight and it looks like he has a double chin.
After all, I became obsessed with facial contour.
I didn't take good pictures of my face because it looked long even when I took pictures, but
I had a strong desire to have surgery right away, so I immediately decided to sell my clothes and consult a hospital.
Consultation list: ㅇㅍㅅㅌ ㄱㄹㅎ ㄴㅈㅎ (I only had phone consultations and only went to two places in person. Even before the consultation, my mind was already on Noh Jong-hoon)
Thursday (August 1) - Consultation at 1 Percent Plastic Surgery The
waiting line for consultation was long. The facilities were clean and the building had a sophisticated feel. The atmosphere is also sophisticated.
The manager was very beautiful. However, for me, the overall atmosphere of the hospital and the director's style/skills were more important than the director's appearance.
After waiting for 40 minutes, I took a CT scan and consulted with the director. Overall, the staff are not friendly. The manager was very kind. The director showed the hospital website and explained how it would proceed. He guided me through it, and initially asked for 10 million won and told me how to get DC. I didn't like the price changing depending on the situation like this. I consulted with the director regarding specific surgical methods.
When I asked about the CCTV footage, I was told that the person who entered the operating room took some of the footage with his cell phone.
For someone like me who values safety... I was very worried.
The director was very professional. He noticed the flaws in my face right away. As soon as
he saw me, he said that my philtrum was long and that I needed transplants under my eyes and nasolabial folds. My face has a protruding mouth so I have to move my chin forward instead.
He said it.
▶Recommended treatment: Chin osteotomy + square jaw + chin advancement [2 types of contour] + If desired: under-eye + nasolabial transplant
▶Price: KRW 10 million -> Cash and other discounts available
▶CCTV can be used to record part of the surgery using a cell phone.
Anyway, overall. I had a strong feeling that I was doing business and
pursuing practicality and efficiency rather than safety,
so I decided to look into other hospitals since it was a bone-shaving surgery.
Thursday (August 1) - Noh Jong-hoon plastic surgery consultation
I received a consultation with Noh Jong-hoon plastic surgery.
The wait for the consultation wasn't long. The manager immediately provided consultation.
Afterwards, I had a CT scan and received consultation from the director. The short waiting time was actually an advantage.
I was worried that you might be too busy to pay attention to my surgery.
The director's style is principled and analytical. I liked this part the most.
There are not many cheekbones, the mouth is slightly protruding, and the chin is a bit long, but it is not a beautiful chin. My lower jaw developed, and my trust increased as my face, which only I know, was recognized and explained to me as analytically as I did.
They gave detailed advice on what type of surgery was being performed slowly, and although the facilities were not as flashy as a large plastic surgery building,
perhaps because it was a one-person hospital, that aspect actually increased my trust by being conservative. It made me feel like I was getting a reasonable amount of money for the surgery.
There was a bad image of large hospitals such as shadow doctors, surrogate surgery, and factory-type hospitals, so I was drawn to them based on my own life data.
▶Procedure: 7mm jaw osteotomy + cortex removal + square jaw + chin retraction [2 types of contour]
▶Price: 6.1 million (cash price, reservation deposit 500,000)
▶CCTV viewing possible on the 3rd day
▶Anesthesiologist resident
▶Hospitalized one day after surgery The date for the treatment
surgery has been set right away.
Since I had already accumulated a lot of data through searches, I didn't think it would be a big waste of time to go to other hospitals.
He said that a health check-up must be performed before general anesthesia.
During general anesthesia, if you have underlying breathing or bleeding conditions, it will interfere with the surgery.
I recently had a health checkup, so I decided to submit the results to the manager via text message. Instead of visiting the health checkup center separately, I replaced it with the results sheet and on the same day (Thursday), the director brought a lancet and drew blood.
I was embarrassed, but I gained a lot of trust because the manager was able to draw blood. There are a lot of managers with no expertise just for consultation.
Sunday (August 4th) -
I fasted from 4pm the day before surgery. Although I was told to fast for 9 hours before surgery, I fasted more thoroughly from 4:00.
However, I was very thirsty in the middle of the day, so I drank a sip of water at 11 PM.
When I tried to withdraw cash, there was a withdrawal limit, so I had to withdraw money back to multiple accounts.
If you are going to have the surgery with cash, please check the transfer limit, withdrawal limit, and card status in advance before choosing.
Monday (August 5th) - 09:00 on the day of surgery.
They told me to arrive by 9:30 a.m., so I went at 9 a.m. but the door was closed. I contacted the manager and he said he would open it soon.
09:30 I was guided to the desk on the 4th floor.
09:50 Before the surgery, I listened to the precautions from the director and informed him of the surgical requirements. We've already done this through consultation, but I'll say it again.
▶Requirements: Request to reduce the lower canal due to the development of the lower canal, natural side lines to avoid an open jaw, leave a slight square jaw area, avoid a pointy face like a comb-shaped pottery, prefer an oval shape, request to improve the slightly protruding mouth,
take photos from various angles, and be hospitalized ( After placing my personal belongings in the recovery room, I changed clothes and waited for consultation and surgery.
10:50 The director was late because he was preparing for surgery. After waiting for about an hour, the director came to the hospital room and said that the director's mother was sick and would be late for work. My anxiety rose slightly here. Then, I was worried whether my personal history would interfere with the surgery or whether it would be delayed for some reason. I told the director that it was okay to be late, so please do it safely so as not to interfere with the surgery.
10:55 Five minutes later, the director came and said that consultation and surgery were available at home. I received consultation from the director.
A line was drawn on the face with a name pen. You draw pictures with great detail. They said it has the ability to cut bones up to 7mm, and they accommodated my requirements as much as possible. He told me to draw a line at the end of the chin and choose among several lines on how to finish the chin line.
They gave me two pieces of paper and gave me detailed instructions on the pre- and post-surgery precautions/references (it's a rule...), I said, "Thank you very much," and waited in the hospital room again.
We were called at 11:00 and taken to the operating room. There were about three people inside, and they told me to lie down on the operating table, so I lay down without even looking around or taking any time to relax. I think it's better to have surgery quickly than to worry for no reason. I lied down, inserted a thick needle into my blood vessel, and fixed
my arm and body
. I suddenly felt dizzy, and after saying, “You will feel dizzy because of the anesthesia,” I fell asleep immediately after 5 seconds.
14:20 “You can’t sleep!” The man woke me up. I couldn't even tell who it was, whether it was the director or someone else. When I woke up, I was in the hospital room, and I thought, “Oh, I had surgery.” It hurt like someone was pressing my chin. It was a bearable pain, but the cough and hose were very annoying and uncomfortable. The most painful thing was the difficulty in breathing. Both sides of his lips were filled with blood, and he was wearing a ventilator and bandages. A painless injection was administered through an IV.
They told me I couldn't sleep, so I sat down as much as I could, but the problem was that my back really hurt. The pain of small things was greater for me than the pain of surgery. The hospital room was a single room, so it was comfortable and private. Perhaps because it is a single-director hospital, the hospital room was not busy and I felt like they were paying attention to me in a delicate manner, which was great. The busier I am, the more anxious I feel. What is a hospital?
I was very grateful to the nursing teachers who kept an eye on the CCTV in the hospital room every 30 minutes. I would like to say hello again. It was great to feel safe.
▶Underlying disease: low blood pressure (90-55), thyroid nodule, anemia (decreased hemoglobin concentration), psychiatric disease (anxiety)
15:00 Blood pressure was measured to be low. (70-55) As I was having problems with my blood pressure, they kept checking it periodically and kept coming in every 30-1 hour to check my condition.
16:00 I went to sleep and woke up again and again. My blood pressure continues to drop and is now 70/50. My blood pressure was originally low. I saw scratches on the side of the wall. I thought I must have scratched it because it hurt..
17:00 I tried to fall asleep again. The manager came in. Please come and explain the instructions one more time. It's not over after the surgery, so I'm grateful that you come and show me your face. That's how much trust I gained.
17:30 My back hurt a lot. The hoses hanging from my body were annoying. I'm the type of person who tolerates pain well, but aside from the pain, I didn't want to do it again because it was uncomfortable. I'm sensitive.
17:40 The director came in, checked the front chin and square jaw, and said, “It went well as planned.” It's nice that the director is very honest. Thank you for coming once again. This part increases reliability and creates a sense of stability. The director is the best.
18:00 I slept. I continued to not eat anything. It seemed like it would hinder my recovery, and I was in no condition to eat. If you have to go to the bathroom, you have to call the teacher. Fortunately, there was no dizziness or vomiting. The nurse came and administered antibiotics. Even though I got a painkiller, it still hurt.
20:00 It was so boring and tiring that I used my cell phone. My chin was throbbing and my lips were very swollen. I'm slowly getting used to it now. Hospitalization is essential. I received this much care and attention and even received painkilling injections... I hope others think carefully before getting the surgery. I don't want to go through this again.
20:30 He came again to give me antibiotics. It seems that most of the hospital staff have left work now. There are one or two people staying overnight.
22:00 Re-administration of antibiotics
00:00 I stayed up all night because I couldn’t sleep.
03:00 Bed
▶Pain: Jaw + throbbing (main), dry throat, nosebleeds, pain, dizziness, headache, back pain (sitting position), throbbing lips, posture discomfort, dry mouth, coughing, sore throat, frequent coughing and bleeding. phlegm, etc.
