It's already been 12 years since I had cheekbone surgery.
After passing the civil service exam in August 2011, I underwent mouth incision cheek surgery to live a better life.
But I never imagined that it would turn my life into hell.
For two years after surgery, I had really good days, to the point where there were days like this in my life. It was nice to get attention from everywhere.
I could see the beginning of the abyss exactly from the third year. The first signal was that it was a sight to behold. As weight began to fall on both sides of the lower jaw area,
I began to look older than my peers. Still, it was bearable up to this point. It wasn't that bad, but what's really scary is that it gets worse as time goes by. When other people gain one year, I feel like I am two years older. But once you turn 30, it feels like you're not even 2 years older, but just 3-4 years older. And first, the cheeks start to sag, and then, since there are no cheekbones, the under-eye area starts to appear, and the dark circles get really thick due to the under-eye area. From here, I started to not be able to handle it. It was probably around this time that I began to experience mental illness such as severe depression, suicidal thoughts, avoidance of others, and irritability. I think I've tried everything I could except surgery. But it doesn't work. And from then on, I think I gave up on my face and just lived without looking at my own face. Because I have to go to work and live. And as time goes by, Indian wrinkles and nasolabial folds become worse. To be honest, I have had these symptoms since the third year and they are getting worse. It looks as if the face has been severely pressed somewhere. So, to compensate for this, I think I gained about 5kg and covered up the wrinkles. And as time passes, the tone of the face becomes darker, not jaundiced like a person with a bad liver, but rather blackened. Also, since the incision is made next to the ear, the nerve next to the ear is touched, which often causes otitis media or ear pain. However, I don't have much symptoms immediately after surgery, but symptoms appear over time. I looked it up on the internet and it said it was a symptom that appeared when an incision was made inside the mouth, but I think it appeared gradually. And, speaking of other symptoms, I think the most stressful thing these days is stress, deafness, pitting, lumping in the front cheek, and the side effects of the general hospital. Of the past 12 years, there were only 2 good years and 10 years of continuous pain. What's really scary about this is that once you get used to one side effect, a new side effect is waiting for you. I think I've endured it all now. What's a little more scary now is that since I'm approaching 40, I think there will definitely be other side effects that come from a combination of aging and the side effects of cheekbone surgery. All the reviews posted here show that if the skin elasticity is good for 1 to 2 years, the condition is good until the 3rd to 4th year, but side effects usually start within 2 years, so various laser treatments such as lifting, Ulssera, etc., and the end is face lift technology. In the end, Geosang also has many side effects. And if you get laser and face lift tech, you'll lose thousands of dollars. And it's not a fundamental surgery, so I didn't use that technology and waited 10 years to do some fundamental surgery when medical technology improved. Even now, I am clear about not having lift surgery. However, these days, I am thinking about having reconstructive surgery. This is because I believe that the only solution to the root cause is to restore the bone where the bone that supports the cheekbone should be. I never thought that a surgery I did when I was young would make my life so difficult. Just don't touch the bones. This is after 10 years.
Also, please let me know a professor and a university hospital that is good at facial contour reconstruction surgery. If there are people who have had reconstruction surgery, please send me a message.
