I had surgery in the morning on 8/19, and today is the 5th day!
I received cheekbone reduction from Dr. Seungryong Lee and forehead reduction from Dr. Jihyeon Han.
First of all, I have been under a lot of stress due to my wide forehead since I was young, and I was thinking about having forehead reduction surgery someday.
Meanwhile, a friend who had similar concerns had forehead reduction surgery first, and I thought it was so pretty, haha, so we had it done at the same hospital!
When you get counseling, let’s get some advice while you’re at it! I received a consultation for my forehead, cheekbones, and nose with the same thought in mind, but I was surprised that he told me exactly what complex I was thinking about, and I think I trusted him more because of that.
My cheekbones weren't as big as I thought, but I was concerned that they were sticking out when I took pictures, so I consulted for a consultation. They said it would be a case where cheekbone surgery would be beneficial. Haha,
I think it's because my face shape is off at the temples and has developed side cheekbones and 45-degree cheekbones.
Anyway, I thought that if I touched up my forehead and cheekbones at the same time, my face would get smaller, so I decided to have two surgeries!
(During the process of making a reservation, there was a change in my schedule, which was inconvenient. Thank you for kindly changing it.)
On the day of surgery, I had to receive a consultation from the director and enter the operating room, but I was able to receive a consultation after the director's surgery, so it was a bit inconvenient to have to wait. ㅠ The surgery started about 30 minutes later than the scheduled surgery time ㅠㅠ
I was really scared..... When I entered the operating room, I was so scared.
Can I tell you now that I can't do cheekbone surgery?... That's all I could think of haha.
The director of the anesthesiology department came and gave me anesthesia faster than expected. He fell asleep while I was shaking his head, and the surgery was over. I was scared, so I wanted to ask for anesthesia later, but I couldn't tell him. I had to stay in the recovery room for 1 hour and 30 minutes
. , I tend to get cold a lot, so it was really, really cold. I guess I was very cold during the surgery. It was so cold that I was put on a ventilator, but halfway through
I decided not to do it. Anyway, after recovery, I was looking in the mirror to go home, and I wanted to cry because it was so swollen that I wondered if this was really me. I
had pain in my cheekbones for 24 hours right after the surgery. It was
painful and uncomfortable, but I endured it while taking medicine
. If you look at other people's reviews, they say that their head hurts a lot, but I didn't have any pain!
What I was most worried about was the swelling. It peaked by the 3rd day, and after removing the bandages and tape, it relatively subsided on the 4th and 5th days.
I went for a walk and drank a lot of tea, which is said to be good for reducing swelling. I need to keep getting rid of it.
Oh, I also have a big bruise under my cheek.
There are still stitches on the forehead reduction surgery scar area, but I was reassured because they told me that they were taking good care of it every time I went for disinfection. Haha.
The swelling in the cheekbone was so severe that I still don't know if the surgery was successful or not, but when I looked at the CT picture, a lot of it went in and it was firmly fixed with four layers of fixation. The director also said that it went well.
Even though I haven't met the director yet, I am satisfied that my forehead has shrunk significantly compared to before!!!!!
Really... I'm so satisfied that I wonder why I did it now when
I should have done it a long time ago. Oh, there was a slight indentation just below the forehead reduction area today, but I'm not sure if it's due to swelling. I'll ask the director when I see the progress. ㅠ
The forehead reduction swelling is not that severe and the forehead swells up nicely, so I hope the swelling doesn't go down.. haha
