I did it in the winter when I was 21, and I'm now 25, so it's been about 3-4 years.
In fact, I wanted to do facial contouring since high school, so I was looking into it, but I was so scared of sagging cheeks, so I looked into other methods.
Then, I used fat grafting to restore volume and enlarged the cheekbones with liposuction. I received a consultation to see if I could reduce my cheekbones, but they told me that my cheekbones were bones.
Instead, since my face lacked volume, I was told that fat grafting would be effective, so I made an appointment for the second round and had the surgery twice.
The only thing that hurts is the buttocks where the fat was removed. It feels like the bottom is stiff...?
Also, I was told to keep my face as still as possible for good engraftment, so it felt a little stiff and uncomfortable.
That was all there was to it, and I was satisfied after the second round ^^
About 6 months..? After that, when it fell out, it fell out again, so there wasn't a huge difference in the end.
But what I regret a little now is that the upper part of the nasolabial area and the front cheek area seem to have engrafted well, so the nasolabial area looks a little shaded.
In the end, I'm trying to figure out the outline, and this fat above the nasolabial area is something that will come later. I feel like it will look more saggy after the surgery.
So, if I were to go back, I think I would have had facial bone contouring done right away when I was young instead of transplanting it because of facial bone problems haha.
