It's been about 7-8 years since I had double jaw surgery. When I was hospitalized right after the surgery, I remember sitting down and sleeping because my nose was blocked and I couldn't breathe, so I almost died. I pressed the emergency button, but a nurse came and nervously told me not to call her unless it was urgent, but if no one came, I thought I could die from just one small thing. I did. I can't remember exactly how many years after the surgery, but I developed postnasal drip and was still feeling uncomfortable, and one of my teeth had root canal treatment because the nerve had died. Since it is a major surgery, I think there are risks.
