It's been a week since I had facial contouring at FO. Once I got it done, time flies.
The day of the surgery: I met the director before the surgery, summarized what we talked about during the consultation, listened to the precautions, and went up to the surgery room. I talked about the design with the director again in the surgery room, and although I was nervous, I just slept and woke up and it was over. After waking up from the anesthesia... I felt like I had a really bad hangover that was short and strong. I didn't feel any pain from the surgery, but waking up from the anesthesia was really hard. I couldn't sleep, so it was hard. They gave me pumpkin porridge, but I didn't want to eat it at all. I couldn't drink water for a few hours, so I didn't want to drink water. I was admitted to the hospital that day, so I just rested comfortably! They kept giving me IVs, painkillers, and injections for swelling. The director came often to check if I was feeling sick or uncomfortable, and explained the progress of the surgery well.
Anyway, the first day was hard ㅠㅠ
Day 1: I took off the bandage, got laser treatment for swelling, and was discharged. I got a prescription, came home, continued to apply ice packs, and ate pumpkin porridge that the hospital gave me. My mouth was swollen and wouldn't open properly, so it was hard, but I had to take medicine, so I ate it. My lips are really swollen. It stung a little in the morning, but it was just a tingling sensation.
Days 2-3: If you just endure until then, it won't be hard ㅎㅎ On the third day, I'm going to take off the tape. They'll even give me a shampoo service. It's so refreshing ㅎㅎ After taking off the tape, I felt like the swelling had gone down a little bit right after it was taken off.. I took off the tape, disinfected the incision, saw the director, and got laser treatment for swelling. I went for a walk from then on.
Days 4-5: The swelling seemed to have gone down more than on the second day, and it seemed to go down slowly because it was before the stitches were taken off, so I kept using the ice pack diligently. But it didn't swell as much as I thought. On the 4th day, my mouth suddenly opened wide. One finger went in. I was worried about eating and the swelling, but from then on, there was nothing difficult and it was just boring.. I wish time would pass quickly ㅠㅠ
Day 6: I had the stitches removed and got a laser treatment for swelling. The stitches on my cheekbones didn't hurt at all, but the stitches in my mouth hurt a little ㅠ But the nurse did her best to make it as painless as possible.
Day 7: Maybe because the stitches were removed, when I woke up in the morning, the swelling was less than before. But when I first got up, my face felt like it was going to burst and it felt heavy.
I didn't have a particularly bumpy face, but I had surgery because my cheekbones were bothering me, my face was peanut-shaped, long, and asymmetrical. I tried to supplement it with fillers, but I didn't like the foreign body feeling like my face was going to burst, so I had it all removed and just had the surgery. I asked them to make it natural without being too harsh. I have a slightly receding chin, so I asked them to make the chin forward, reduce the length, and leave a little corner under my ears because I didn't want my cheekbones and square jaw to look like a square jaw.
By the 7th day, I feel like if you can just endure the difficult first 3 days of contouring surgery, then after that, life will be ok lol It's not painful, it's a fight against time ㅠㅎ
And right before I went in for the surgery, I sat on the operating table and asked the director to make my cheekbones look bigger ㅋㅋ I did that and even though there's swelling, I can see that it's really gone in a lot and it's so nice. You can't tell from the front because of the swelling, but when I look in the mirror at a 45 degree angle, my cheekbones look smoother and I'm so happy lol You can definitely see that my chin has gotten shorter and I especially like that the asymmetrical length has been corrected. The square jaw line isn't visible yet because of the swelling. I'll have to wait until the major swelling goes down to know for sure, but I can see a little bit of a difference~
Still, I don't think there's much swelling after the contouring surgeryㅎㅎ I think it's because the director did a good job with the surgery^^
The director, the manager, and the nurses are all so nice, and the aftercare is alsoㅎㅎ The director and the manager are close by, so they told me to come here every day to get the swelling laserㅎㅎ
Whenever I have questions, I text the manager and he always answers me quickly. Thank youㅎㅎ.. The director also always makes me feel comfortable and gentle when he speaksㅎㅎ
I'm going to get a 2nd week CT scan next week. Anyway, I'm recovering well without any discomfort, and I'll write another review when the swelling goes down a lot~
