(Reason for surgery) It's been 8 years since I had chin surgery, but since I kept having to go to the dentist after orthodontic treatment, I was embarrassed to see the pins that were used to fix my chin in place constantly exposed in X-rays and CT scans. And I was worried that the constant troubles around my chin might be caused by the pins, so I decided to get pin removal surgery and searched for a hospital through an app, which is where I found Goguryeo Jeongseok Plastic Surgery. (Pre-surgery consultation) Looking at the reviews, I saw that even older fixation pins were removed successfully, and the director told me not to worry since the old fixation pins could be removed cleanly as long as the bone covered them and they didn’t break when they were removed. When I asked if there were any side effects, he said that since it wasn’t a major peeling surgery, there wouldn’t be any major side effects or nerve irritation, so I made a surgery reservation on the spot (and the price was reasonable, which was even better). On the day of the surgery) The most important thing to note is that you must fast for 9 hours before due to general anesthesia on the day of the surgery. Oh, and since you’ll be asked to wear a mask, if you’re preparing for surgery, make sure to bring a mask and hat! (I couldn't bring my hat, so I took it off when I went and wore it separately at home.) The surgery seemed to take about an hour, but the older the pin, the longer it seemed to take. I've had general anesthesia several times, but I was still nervous about the surgery, so the words "Please take care of me" automatically came out the moment the anesthesia started... haha. The director told me not to worry, but I felt relieved and woke up in a half-asleep state, feeling like a hunter, and it took quite a while for the anesthesia to wear off. Before I went, I had to take a prescription, a pack that could be used for compressing the skin, and an instruction manual, but since the anesthesia hadn't worn off, I was sitting on the sofa, so the people at the desk told me to rest more. Everyone was so kind that I was really grateful. After the surgery) The pain was almost non-existent when I thought about it , and the only thing that was sore was the incision and the stitched area. The swelling was swollen until the third day, but after that it gradually went down and was not noticeable. However, on the third day, bruises started to appear and my chin was almost I had a serious bruise that seemed to turn black, so I called the hospital to ask if it was okay. They said that people with thin skin can bruise and that it is a progressive process, so not to worry. After a week, it gradually began to fade, and by the second week, when I went to the hospital to have the stitches removed, the bruise was almost gone. When I had my chin done, I was nervous because it hurt more than I thought to have the stitches removed, but fortunately it didn’t hurt as much as then. It still stings? It actually feels like the less healed areas hurt more than the areas that have healed well…(?) But everyone took CT scans before and after, but I didn’t when I had my stitches removed, so I’ll have to ask the hospital to take them next time I go! Now, after a month, it has healed completely and the bruise and swelling have completely gone, so I feel great. If anyone is considering getting the pin removed like me, I recommend getting it done at Goguryeo Jeongseok!
