 1. Reason for hairline surgery
It's because of forehead reduction scars. When I was a student, my wide forehead was stressful, so I had forehead reduction surgery, but it left me with a large scar that was over 1cm (much bigger than it looks in the picture). Then, I decided to have hairline surgery with the thought of covering it up with a hair transplant when I was younger. I was stressed out a lot and spent a lot of money trying to cover up the scars.. I regret not saving up money and getting a hair transplant right away.
2. Criteria for choosing a hospital
The only criterion I wanted was a hospital that only does hair transplants with the director's name on it. When I had my forehead reduction, the doctor moved to another hospital, so I had nowhere to complain. So rather than going to a famous factory-style hospital, I looked for a private hospital with a great doctor who would take responsibility for me, and Okgeon was perfect. The doctor and the head of the consultation room gave me good advice that I could trust, so I set a surgery date right away.
3. Review on the day of surgery
I liked that I was the only one having surgery at the hospital, so I felt like I was being taken care of all day long without being left out. The recovery room was so cozy and the teachers were all so kind, and the waiting time wasn't long and it felt like it was done quickly. But maybe because I'm scared, the back of my head incision was really scary. Of course, it didn't hurt because I was anesthetized, but since I couldn't see it, I kept imagining it moreㅜ After this, I went to the recovery room and ate some porridge, and then they implanted the hair. The implantation was really nothing special. I talked to the teacher while implanting the hair and fell asleep. (The teacher told me about some game, but honestly, it wasn't funㅎ) Anyway, it wasn't a big deal except for cutting the back of my head.
4. Recovery process
There was no bleeding, no bruising, no swelling, and my head was just a little puffy, so I had no problem going about my daily life at home. I only had a mild headache on the first day, but it wasn't bad, but when I slept, the back of my head was hardㅜㅜ It felt like it was being pushed against the pillow and pulled? I think it was a little uncomfortable until the stitches were removed. (I felt comfortable today because the stitches were removed.) It was also uncomfortable not being able to wash my hair. You said that you can go about your daily life right away, but if you don't plan on hiding the fact that you had a hair transplant, I think it's possible. After all, my bangs were really sticky from the disinfectant before I washed my hair on the second day, so if you want to keep it a secret from people around you, I think it's right to rest for a weekend.
5. Overall satisfaction
It's only been 12 days, but I'm so, so, so happy!! Of course, since I'll see the results of the hair transplant in a year, it's hard to tell if it was good or bad right now, but since there was no bleeding or bruising, I hope that it will take root without any problems. I regret and was stressed out about having to live with a scar for the rest of my life after the forehead reduction surgery, but I'm happy that it's been covered up, and I'm so happy that my hairline is round and pretty! I want the dark period to pass quickly and grow beautifully so that I can live with a confident forehead by this time next year, even when the wind blows!!!! I'll write another review if I think of it in a year :)
