Hello, everyone! It seems like it was only a while ago that I signed up for Seongyesa before getting double eyelid surgery and was diligently looking for reviews, but it’s already been a month since I got my double eyelid surgery, so I’m leaving a review too.
While living with double eyelids, I never felt that my eyes were too small or uncomfortable, so I never really thought about getting double eyelid surgery, but since many of my friends around me were getting it, I gradually became interested in it! Then, I followed my friend to get a consultation for double
eyelid surgery, and after much thought, I decided to get it too. So I only got the consultation at one place and set the surgery date! The reason I decided to get my double eyelid surgery here was because I really trusted the director. When I was getting the consultation, he looked at my eyes very carefully, and I was surprised that he caught my habit of raising my eyebrows to the point where I had a little wrinkle on my forehead, which I was surprised to see. However, my ptosis is not that severe, so he said that I don’t need eye correction and that I just need to build up the strength to open my eyes and practice. And considering that I have some fat on my eyelids and my skin is thick, and that I have severe Mongolian folds, she said that I should get a partial incision + fat removal + epicanthoplasty. I had no intention of getting an epicanthoplasty, but she said that I absolutely had to get it because of my Mongolian folds. So I had a consultation and was a little worried about the epicanthoplasty, but during the consultation, I felt that I could trust the doctor with my eyes, and I also trusted that there was a set number of surgeries per day, so I decided to get the surgery!
Actually, it was my first time getting surgery, but my eyes haven't hurt even on the day of the surgery or since then! So I was so grateful to the doctor and thought it was really lucky ㅠㅠ I barely had any bruises, and the swelling went down a lot in the first 1-2 weeks, so I didn't have any trouble going about my daily life. I still have a little scar from the epicanthoplasty, but the doctor said that it would go away with time, so I'm still waiting with faith ㅎㅎ
It's been exactly a month now, and the swelling seems to have almost gone down, so I'm really satisfied these days! My habit of opening my eyes with my forehead has also naturally improved a lot since I got double eyelids, and more than anything, when I did eye makeup, both the eyeshadow and my eyelashes would get all smudged on my eyelids before, but now the eyeshadow is noticeable and my eyelashes are curled up nicely with an eyelash curler, so I enjoy doing eye makeup!! People around me also told me that it turned out really naturally and that my impression has definitely become clearer, which makes me happy. I think to myself every single day that I did the right thing.
Thank you for reading the long post, and I hope that everyone who is thinking about getting double eyelid surgery or is recovering from it will be successful! ㅎㅎㅎ♡
