I had my first double eyelid surgery at Iwabaek Plastic Surgery around the fall of 2023.
The eyelids are a bit thick with fat, the skin tissue is also thick, and the eyeballs are slightly protruding. The operating room seemed a bit hot because it was fall, but the air conditioner adjusted the temperature to a reasonable temperature. I don't know if there was one director and two nurses, but there were them. During the consultation, I trusted the doctor and decided to have surgery.
They said men's eye plastic surgery should not be high, but I wanted a slight line to be visible when I open my eyes, so I had the surgery done with a line about 6mm. I was given partial anesthesia and had epicanthoplasty surgery first, followed by double eyelid surgery. I opened and closed my eyes while drawing lines during the surgery, so it was over. I think the surgery took about 1 hour + 20 minutes.
If you look at the first month, the epicanthoplasty is rounded rather than pointed like a bird's beak, so it's less noticeable than expected. Although I wish it was a bit more natural, I think it's better to be natural. The swelling was a bit severe, perhaps due to the damage caused by the surgery, such as thick skin, sagging skin, and eye fat removal. However, after about a month, all the major swelling has gone down, but there is still a lot of swelling left. I'm a little worried because the line is higher than I thought, but I'm worried that it will go down once the swelling goes down. I actually think it's better that it's slightly higher now, but I'm also worried. I heard that the swelling could go as early as 3 months, or as late as 6 months to a year, so I am waiting leisurely and exercising.
