Since birth, my lower eyelashes have grown upward, causing my eyes to become sore and watery.
My eyes get itchy, so I keep rubbing my eyes, and then I often get styes, so they
tell me to pluck my eyelashes every time they grow, so I pluck them out like chicken feathers all the time. I
went to the hospital for LASIK surgery, but after an eye exam, my cornea had a lot of scars, so I had to have eyelash surgery. He recommended it.
I had the surgery before I got a job because I thought it would be the right time.
The criteria for selecting a hospital was ‘plastic surgery’ that was ‘covered by insurance’.
I thought that if I had surgery at an ophthalmology clinic, my scars and eye shape would be greatly altered, so I wanted to get it done at a plastic surgery clinic even if it meant paying more.
Also, since it was for treatment purposes, I searched for a place that was covered by insurance and chose this hospital.
Before the visit, I called to ask if it would be covered by insurance, and most people are covered by insurance, but they told me to check with the insurance company to be sure
.
I wanted to finish the surgery quickly and recover quickly, so I had the surgery on the same day as the consultation (Saturday).
I also inquired about this in advance, and they told me to keep my stomach empty, so I woke up, didn't eat anything, and had surgery right after the consultation.
Since this was my first plastic surgery, I requested consultation for other things as well, but since my parents were paying for it, I only had entropion surgery.
I was nervous because it was my first time having surgery, but the hospital staff was friendly and the doctor answered all my questions, so I felt reassured.
I go home with gauze attached.
After the surgery, I went home and applied compresses and ointments from time to time, and progress photos were sent via KakaoTalk. It was nice to be able to communicate any questions I had at that time.
Is it because of swelling? Anyway, because of the quick recovery, I have to sleep while sitting most of the time.
And I have to be careful not to habitually touch my eyes!
After surgery on Saturday, I visited the hospital on Monday to receive simple treatment and check my condition. It was very refreshing to remove the gauze from my face.
The stitches were removed exactly one week after surgery. Still, I have to apply ointment to the wound every morning and evening at home, but if this ointment gets into my eyes, it stings so much that I
don't apply it well. Now that it's been a month, I apply it occasionally.
I paid a total of 420,000 won and filed a claim, and the insurance company deposited 200,000 won. You can request the necessary documents from the hospital, but
since you will be busy on the day of surgery due to anesthesia, it is best to ask a companion...!
(I will attach the photo when I get home!)
