I am in my mid-40s and have poor eye opening power. About 7 years ago, I underwent eye correction by tying the inner muscles at another hospital, but my eyes began to droop again. Since I could only see about 60% of the pupil, I decided to have reoperation. I made an appointment at Youngjun Lee Plastic Surgery after receiving recommendations from people around me.
It's hard to make a reservation, but the wait is too long... I waited for almost a year. Something happened in the middle and I had to change the reservation date, so it took a lot longer.
If possible, I wanted to live with different eyes, so I wanted to have epicanthoplasty and double eye surgery at the same time... but the director was a bit skeptical and said that rather than doing it all at once because of the swelling, I would first have to do eye correction and then see her. In the end, I only did eye correction.
During the surgery, I kept my eyes open and constantly adjusted how much muscle I would pull. It's been 10 days since the surgery, and my eyes are still a little swollen. I originally had dark double eyelids, but now I have double eyelids. It doesn't look like I had surgery when I was walking around, but it looks very ugly. I thought my double eyelids would come back once the swelling subsided, but I'm a little worried now that it's been like this for 10 days.
I usually have a lot of swelling and recovery is very slow, so I'm watching closely.
I regret that I should have gone to a place that does both double eyelid surgery and back opening at the same time, as recovery is so slow and inconvenient anyway. I will leave another review once the swelling goes down.
