This article is based on my personal experience and opinion as a medical consumer, and the purpose of the article is to provide information to those considering plastic surgery, and there is absolutely no intention to disparage a specific hospital. Gentleman on 1/24 This is a review of how I received liposuction on the arms, breasts, posterior convexity, and bra line from Dr. Yungeun Kim. One-line summary: Personally, I found it to be ineffective. I'm a muscular type around 163/57-58, so I don't look much heavier than my weight, but I decided to get arm liposuction to improve my thick arms even when I was slim. On January 13th, I decided to have surgery after consulting with Director Jeong Bo-young. The main reasons for choosing this hospital are 1) the fact that only one incision is made, 2) the anesthesia method that the hospital emphasizes is safe and causes less discomfort to the patient, and 3) although he was not my surgeon, CEO Jae-ho Cho is well known in the field of local surgery. I was hoping that his surgical know-how would be reflected in other doctors as well. I visited the hospital for surgery on the morning of the 24th and immediately after returning home, I checked the surgery results with the naked eye. The posterior convexity and bra line showed significant improvement, but no changes were seen in the arms and floating area. In particular, the lateral convexity (the flesh that sticks out on the upper arm when standing at a 45-degree angle), which I wanted to improve the most, did not seem to have improved at all, so I felt like the final result would not be as good as expected. Contrary to what many people know, the swelling does not increase significantly immediately after liposuction. The swelling begins to gradually increase after 24-48 hours and continues for approximately two weeks. (Refer to the relevant paper: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3901919/) And looking at the personal statements of those who have received jaundice, it is said that the results immediately after surgery are closer to the results. But aside from the swelling, what really made me concerned was the size of the bruise. Seeing that there are no bruises on the lower part or inside of the arm, is the area suctioned at 270 degrees correct? I had doubts. (See after photo) There are no bruises on the lower part of the arm and the back of the arm in the side photo. When I spoke on the phone the next day, the manager said that it was too early to judge the final result and that it would take three months for the effect to appear, so I should wait. However, as the manager already knew, I had to leave the country in March, so I couldn't wait until then. I was worried alone. Rather than worrying about it, I thought I needed an expert's opinion, so I went to another hospital and asked for their opinion, and they told me something similar to what I thought. Judging by the pattern of the bruise, the suction area was not wide, and in particular, the lateral convex area does not seem to have changed much. Judging by what I see now, it is highly likely that I will not get the straight arms I want. I can wait 6 months and have a second surgery, but I will probably have to wait until then. I was told that change would be difficult to expect. However, he said that it would be a good idea to consider undergoing reoperation before adhesions develop. After much consideration, I underwent reoperation at another hospital yesterday, February 14th. When I measured the measurements right before the reoperation, the left and right arm circumferences were 29.5 and 30 centimeters, respectively, and each arm decreased by 1 centimeter compared to before the first surgery, so it doesn't mean there was no effect at all. Anyway, after the long-awaited reoperation! Immediately after surgery, the lateral convexity clearly disappeared in the frontal and 45-degree angle photos, and the arms became straight when viewed at a 90-degree angle. I wanted to do it at this hospital a long time ago, and although I spent twice as much money and had a hard time mentally and physically, my wish came true. :) As mentioned above, I may have just been unlucky, or even at the same hospital, the results may vary depending on the surgeon, and please keep in mind that each person's experience may be different. At first, I was angry that I wasted money and had no results, but it was my choice anyway and I don't want to shift responsibility to the hospital, the director, or the director. However, since plastic surgery requires a considerable amount of physical and mental energy and comes with a financial burden, please note that I am writing this with the hope that others will consider it more carefully based on my experience and achieve what they want without trial and error as much as possible. wish.
