It has been a month since I had revision nose surgery using silicone, nasal septum, and ear cartilage at Obli Plastic Surgery.
About 8 years after my first nose surgery, my nose suddenly started to sag. Also, the silicone was thin and went in from the high part between the eyebrows, making my nose look very thin and long. In particular, when I smiled, the tip of my nose fell further and my arrow nose was severe.
So, I made up my mind and started looking into revision rhinoplasty.
After the first surgery failed, I was more worried about repeat surgery, so I looked for it more thoroughly.
After visiting many hospitals and consulting, I chose Obli Plastic Surgery.
The reason I chose Obli Plastic Surgery was first of all because Dr. Kim Da-aeng was very kind during my consultation.
The phrase that always appears in reviews of Obli Plastic Surgery is ‘the director is kind.’ This was true. Haha, and the director didn't just say that everything would work, but realistically told me about the limitations, that this would work and this wouldn't, so I gained more trust.
After the consultation, I was actually very worried until the day of surgery. I think people who are having reoperations will sympathize especially. I don't want to fail again.
The day of the surgery arrived with such a worried heart. On the same day, I consulted with the director again, signed a consent form for surgery, and got on the operating table. I was nervous and shivering because the operating room was cold, but the nurse gave me a pack filled with warm water, which helped me relax and warm up my body. The nurses were also really friendly. I was also grateful to the director for talking to me to ease my nerves. ㅠㅠ I had the surgery with such a comfortable mind, and the surgery was over once the anesthesia wore off.
It was nice that they took pictures of my nose shape right after the surgery so I could check my nose line right away.
Two days later, the cotton was removed, and a week later, the splint was removed and the nose and ear stitches were removed. I was worried that it would hurt when pulling out the stitches, but the nurse did it so carefully that it didn't hurt at all!
Although there was swelling right after taking the splint off, it was amazing to see that the droopy tip of the nose, which I wanted to fix the most, had improved!
About two days after taking off the splint, the area between my eyebrows was slightly swollen, so I contacted the director and he immediately made an appointment for treatment. The director looked at my nose for three days and gave me an antibiotic injection. Thanks to this, the swelling went down well. It's just swelling. Wait. I felt like they really cared about me and looked after me responsibly even after the surgery. As the name of 'Obly' Plastic Surgery suggests, it seems to be a plastic surgery clinic that truly fulfills its 'responsibility'.
Now that it's been a month, the bruises on the bridge of my nose haven't completely gone yet and it's a little swollen, but I'm satisfied with the improvement in the droopy tip of my nose that I wanted to improve.
Before the revision surgery, I always covered my nose with my hand when taking pictures, but now I can take pictures with a confident smile without covering my nose. It's really nice!
I think I will be more satisfied when the swelling goes down further and the bruises disappear.
