What I wanted most was to improve my image. My existing nose gave me a round, youthful image, but I was
averse to that image, so I wanted a nose that would give a more masculine and strong impression.
Although it was my first surgery, Because I was timid, I didn't actively sell my products (haha) , so I sold my products in communities such as Seongyesa
. Based on various information, we decided on rules and went to hospitals.
1. Only non-implants (autologous cartilage)
-> The side effects that come with nose surgery are inflammation, contracture, reoperation, etc. It was just scary at first, but as I looked into it, I found out that most of the side effects of nose surgery except dissatisfaction with the shape. The side effects were said to be caused by foreign substances (silicon, medpore, etc.). Since I had no desire to improve the bridge of my nose, I thought about getting surgery without implants. 2. A one-person hospital rather than a large hospital -> In the past, the hospital was quite large for other
purposes
. I once went to a large plastic surgery clinic, and I felt burdened by the factory-style atmosphere typical of large hospitals.
3. Filtering out brokers

-> See Seongyesa's reviews as well. If necessary, I signed up for the relevant plastic surgery website and viewed before and after photos. And I passed on hospitals that didn't seem to be my style

After repeating this filtering process, I chose one hospital.
First of all, I passed all of the above.
There were some ambiguous aspects of the review photos as they were not available on the Internet, but I was able to confirm them at the hospital after consultation and I was satisfied. There

After reading the information here, my confidence in the hospital increased, and after consultation, I decided to have surgery at that hospital. One of the reviews of the hospital in Seongyesa said this, and I strongly agree with this

The first operating room doesn't give a clean impression as many have mentioned. However, inflammation occurred after surgery at that hospital. There were no reviews and they said they would thoroughly disinfect, so I trusted them and laid down on the operating table.
Before surgery, nose hair is removed and the hair from the area where the ear cartilage is to be removed is taped. A catheter is inserted into my right arm, my face is disinfected, and I go to sleep. After the dream-like feeling passes, I feel that my ear cartilage is being removed. There is no pain at all because of the anesthesia, but it takes longer than expected, so it is a bit boring. After a while, you will feel your ear being stitched, and you will have to turn your head to straighten it out while collecting ear cartilage.
Now it's time to incise your nose, but if you want, you can go under anesthesia again. I thought the feeling of having my nose cut would be scary, so they asked me to sleep one more time. When I came to my senses, my eyes were covered and they were performing surgery again. Then, they sewed my nose, and when the surgery was over, they put cotton in my nose, put a splint and tape on it, and put a cold compress on it for a while
. Afterwards, you will be taken to the recovery room and allowed to rest for about 30 minutes. Once the dizziness goes away, you will return home at the next date. The hospital will give you a compress and a prescription pumpkin porridge to use for the treatment.
I bought the medicine with a prescription, but the cost of the medicine was higher than I expected. They told me that cold compresses for the first 48 hours after surgery were very important, so they continued to apply cold compresses as soon as I arrived. I repeated freezing for 40 minutes to 1 hour and applying cold compresses until it became lukewarm.
On the first day, the medicine + nasal mucus + accumulated blood flowing from the cotton pad inside my nose continued to flow. I kept wiping it with a wet tissue, taking it with me every meal, taking medicine, and going for a walk for about 30 minutes because I heard it was good for swelling. When I sleep, I sleep with my head above my heart with several pillows on it. I put a cast on my ear to keep it from deforming
. It is heavily bandaged.
There is almost no pain in the nose, but a little pain in the ears, similar to the pain felt when wearing a mask that does not fit your ears for a long time.
Because of the splint, I can only wash my cat's face. They say I can't even wash my hair because of my ears.
<~Day 2>
There was less swelling than expected. The philtrum under my nose (where the muscle was cut) feels swollen and I can't move it very well. It's hard because I can only breathe through my mouth while the cotton is on. My mouth is dry, so I think I need to be careful of a sore throat. (I already had it.) I continued to use cold compresses for a total of 3 days on days 0, 1, and 2, and tried to walk for at least 30 minutes every day. I did not buy pumpkin juice separately because it was said to be ineffective for swelling. Because of the medication, I ate a regular meal every meal.
When I went to the hospital on the second day, they removed the cotton inside my nose and tidied up the tape. (Do not remove it.) Remove the cast on your ear and
apply waterproof tape to prevent the wound from coming into contact with water. You can wash your hair starting today, but you can't wash your face yet.
<~Day 6>
From the 3rd day, they tell you to stop using cold compresses and start using warm compresses. It is said that you need to check the temperature of the compress you received from the hospital by placing it in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time to prevent it from bursting. I can use hot compresses as much as I can, but since I can use cold compresses more often, it's starting to get a little annoying. I confirmed that my nose is pierced and there is no problem with breathing. After that, it's the same.
Eat three meals + take medicine, go for a walk for 30 minutes...
On the 6th day, the splint, tape, and columellar thread are removed. Immediately after taking it off, your nose feels swollen. It was the first day I could check my nose, and I was so amazed that I just looked in the mirror. It was so swollen that only my nose was visible, but it looked fine. The director said that starting today, the swelling will go down day by day. The symmetry of the nostrils appears to be roughly correct, and the curved part of the nose bone has clearly been seen to have improved. The incision line is shaped like a w, but I feel like it won't be a big deal over time.
You can shower after the 6th day. Also, I was told that lightly massaging my nose with water would help reduce swelling, so
I did that often. Perhaps because it was summer, I had a lot of sebum, but I refrain from touching it just in case.
There was a slight bruise on the bridge of my nose, but it wasn't that big because I used a warm compress.
There is still a thread in the nose, but from this time on, it starts to not bother me much. Actually, it is removed on the 14th day.
It is visible that the swelling changes from day to day.
I am really satisfied. The feeling of my nose being short has disappeared, and there are no side effects and it looks natural.
