 My first nose surgery was 10 years ago,
but I felt like my nostrils were showing too much and I wanted to lower my nostrils, so
I had the surgery again.
I searched for nostril lowering on the Internet and found a doctor who wrote on his blog that nostril lowering and revision nose surgery were his specialties. He said
he would do a good job. I heard that it was a hospital that only does rhinoplasty, so
I guess the problem was that I decided on the hospital without doing much research.
Currently, the silicone is twisted diagonally, and
now after 6 months, the tip of my nose has become bulbous and bulbous.
There are also protruding scars that were not there during the first surgery.
Ever since I came in with a splint on my nose, I've been wondering, 'Why is the splint attached diagonally like this?'
I was curious, but when I took it off, the silicone was crooked as expected.
I kept saying it was crooked, but the hospital said it was normal and just kept telling me to wait.
I went to another plastic surgery clinic to get an objective diagnosis, and
the doctor at the other hospital marked the diagonal area between my eyebrows with a pen, saying that the silicone was crooked.
He told me to go and ask the doctor who performed the surgery to request early correction.
So I went back to the hospital where I had the surgery and asked for early correction
because it was crooked, but they said it wasn't crooked and it was normal, so early correction shouldn't be done because the surgery was done with a donor rib, and they
didn't correct it because they said it looked that way because of the swelling.
My mental stress grew as they kept telling me to wait for months and say it was normal, and
they didn't acknowledge it until I showed them the photos I had left out.
In the end, after 6 months, I decided to have a repeat surgery.
I tried to get it done at the same hospital where I had the surgery, but
the doctor's attitude was different from before the surgery and was very hurtful to me.
I paid for it and it wasn't my fault, but I
was under a lot of stress because of the possibility that I might have to have surgery again from this person.
I'm so sad because my trust in the hospital has completely evaporated, but
I'm looking into a third revision surgery.
This time, I'm going to do a lot of research and
get it properly from a really skilled plastic surgeon, not an otolaryngologist.
Please do your research carefully and get it from a plastic surgeon.
Don't be fooled by
plausible posts on blogs about rhinoplasty techniques or posts about presentations at academic conferences
. I hope a case like mine doesn't happen again.
