Hello~ This is Seongyesa coming in a few weeks. I was living at Seongyesa for a while due to the side effects after nose surgery, but I stopped visiting for a while. Now, just thinking about the size of my nose after rhinoplasty makes me frown, so I have no reason to come to Seongyesa. There are people who are going through a hard time like me, so I am writing to give them at least a little information. When I was here 24 hours a day, I was really at a loss because there were no cases like mine. I hope I can help even a little. I am thinking about getting a nose surgery. People who do it say once again that nose surgery is not really easy and they feel like drying themselves off while packing their lunch boxes. First of all, I had the surgery on February 14th. I did it in an open manner~ (Incision on the inside of the nose, not the columella incision..)  Grinded the curved beak, corrected the nose that was bent to the right, drooped the tip of the nose, said there was too much flesh inside the nose, so the length of the nose was narrow, and the bridge of the nose was Alloderm? Megaderm? An artificial dermis was placed (before the surgery, we agreed on Alloderm, but after the surgery, they said Megaderm, but they kept changing the word)  . A septum was placed on the tip of the nose, butterfly cartilage bundles were performed, and rhinitis surgery (nasal septum deviation, inferior turbinate, etc.) was performed. Well, it may seem like there is a lot of content, but in the end, the nasal septum and artificial dermis were used to correct the nose.   After the surgery, I went there every day. But the doctor who operated on me was also running another hospital, so I could only see him on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but I never saw the stitches removed until that day after two weeks. Did the other director disinfect and remove cotton during that time? Even if I go every day, I only get intravenous injections. And two weeks later, when I was removing the stitches, he looked at the incision inside my nose and told me that my nose was strange and that I should come see the doctor who performed the surgery tomorrow when he was at work. And when I went to the surgeon the next day, he said that all the flesh on both sides of my septum had melted away. He asked me why I had come now and that it was my fault. I went every day? It was absurd, so I went every day but couldn't see the doctor. When I asked why it was my fault, I didn't answer, but instead prescribed additional regenerative ointment and antibiotics and told me to come back every day for a week. (I was surprised and looked in the mirror on the spot and saw that the flesh had melted and all the cartilage was visible. It was about the size of a little finger. Both sides.) So, when I went the next day, they told me to go into the surgery room because they thought they would need sutures on the inside of my nose. <1st additional suture> Then, I went 2 weeks later and removed the stitches, but they opened again. <2nd additional suture> And when I removed the stitches again, they opened again.. Pus filled in the middle.. Antibiotics were prescribed again..and <3,4, Additional sutures were done up to the 5th time. This is the first time in two months... It was really, really hard. It was even harder because a lot of the flesh around the nasal septum had melted and a small perforation appeared in the middle part. (They say a perforation in the nasal septum occurs when the doctor doesn't do a good job while opening the septum, but this is a big concern. They said I didn't need to use it, but in my case, even the cartilage was already visible, so I was very worried that it would get bigger. (They say that in some cases, it attaches naturally.) The biggest worry is that it's already too big, so the stitches keep opening up, and if it doesn't heal, I'm worried that it will get bigger. They say that the nose is collapsing because the nasal septum cartilage is deteriorating. If it is a problem inside the nose and can be left alone, I would just forget about it, but since the flesh has already melted and the cartilage is visible, the risk of infection is very high, so they say that I must gain weight at all costs . As a result, the cartilage of the septum has melted away due to bacterial infection around the septum, so some people live by inserting plastic into the part where the septum should be. There are also people who say that as the septum flesh melts, the cartilage also opens up a hole, so when a cotton swab is inserted into the septum, it passes through the other side and comes out... etc. After reading the posts, I was even more devastated. If this situation continues, I will be like that too... I thought about suicide countless times. However, from the third suture in the middle, the left side was slowly healing, but the right side showed no signs of healing and opened up again. The last ><6th additional suture>... I complained a lot to have it removed in the middle, and I went to several other hospitals, but they said it seemed to be getting better, and they said there was no further treatment they could do, so I had no choice but to wait. I live in Busan, and the two hospitals I consulted in Busan offered artificial dermis for the bridge of the nose. Therefore, there is no possibility of inflammation in this area near the entrance to the nasal septum, and since the nasal septum is also autologous cartilage, there is no significant possibility of inflammation, so they told me to wait. When I consulted on the internet or over the phone at a removal hospital (ㅅㅅㅇ, ㅂㄴ, ㅍㄹㅁ) in Seoul, they all recommended removal. They said that the most likely cause was the artificial dermis on the bridge of the nose and infection during surgery. - However, they only specialized in removal. Since it's a hospital, I think the only thing they can say is removal. In this hospital, the artificial dermis on the bridge of the nose never causes inflammation to this area. Wait. If the skin is necrotic, it will turn black and the surrounding tissue should also be a problem, but only the mucous membrane on the nasal septum has melted, so you are the cause. I don't know, this is my first time seeing a case like this, etc. They just said that time would tell and they never removed it. In the meantime, I decided to have it removed early and after a month, I would have it removed at another hospital, but my skin hasn't healed yet. I was very worried about what would happen if I opened my nose again for the removal surgery and it didn't heal, so I hesitated a lot. And Suwon said that if the left side heals, the right side will heal eventually as well. seoul? After seeing Director B's post in , I decided to wait a little longer. After that, I couldn't return to work and stayed at home. Every morning and evening, I disinfected and applied regenerating ointment with povidone. It's been exactly 3 months now, and when I went to the hospital yesterday, they said it was completely healed (I suddenly got better in 3 months. It's not like this, but it's a lot of pain in the meantime. Something happened, but I thought this post would be too long ㅠㅠ) The left side where the flesh had melted was the same as before the surgery, and the right side was healed with a slight groove just like the incision site . I would like to see something like this... Right before I went to the hospital, I thought it was just a process of healing the dent marks. However, the hospital said that it would be difficult to gain any more weight because the grooves had formed and had healed. However, they said that I didn't have to worry anymore because it had completely healed. They said that even if I opened my mouth wide, it wouldn't tear again. In the meantime, they put tape under my nose to keep it from opening. After living with it for almost a month, repeated antibiotic medication, additional suture surgery, oxygen treatment, IV gel, etc... We spent a lot of money and time, but I think our body will recover in the end...   Of course, other implants such as silicone, mesh, etc. They say that if the surgical site does not heal in almost 100% of cases, it is because of the inflammation caused by the implant and it needs to be removed for the surgical site to heal. I think it is right for those people to go to the hospital as soon as possible and have it removed . Even if the hospital says no, speak out strongly. ㅠㅠ Be sure to record it!!! No matter what you do, recording is important. And I thought about it a lot. What caused this? 1. Pathogen infection through the incision site during surgery 2. Nasal spray is given immediately after removing the cotton pad after surgery. You know what you spray inside your nose? They told me to take it about 3 times a day. I took it for about a month and then stopped because I felt uncomfortable because it was a steroid medication. (Recently, I searched the Internet and found that it should not be used in cases with wounds or incisions after surgery. And that people with weak mucous membranes are more likely to have perforation if they continue to use steroids directly.) I think this is the biggest cause. If you have had surgery and are told to do it at the hospital, just do not do it. It will not help your recovery. 3. After the surgery, Fucidin cream is applied to the inside of the nose. I was told to apply it every day and several times a day even after additional suturing. However, on the Internet, it said that Fucidin cream should not be applied to the mucous membrane. Until the 5th additional suturing, I alternated with regenerative ointment. I was applying it, but after the last 6th suturing, I randomly stopped applying Fucidin and only applied regenerative ointment. This may be the cause of the new skin growth. Because Fucidin is an antibiotic ointment, it is an ingredient that kills both good and bad bacteria, so my nose needs to be revived, so this is a good ointment. I thought it wouldn't be able to regenerate if I killed the bacteria, so I tried a lot of oral medicine to kill the bacteria, so I decided to try regenerating ointment, so I decided to quit on my own. After that, I gained weight... 4. After the surgery, your nose is so dry. It was clogged, so I blew my nose once or twice a day when I cleaned my nose at home. It wasn't too hard, but it's been a while since I had surgery, and they say that if I blow my nose, the sutures will burst (but in my case, it wasn't a burst, it was just the flesh melting away, so that's a big deal) It's not the same...) I wrote this to be of some help to those who experience rare side effects like me after nose surgery, but the post is too long haha. But I was completely cured in 3 months, so I'm writing this with a smile. In the meantime, I really studied a lot about surgery, and I learned that you have to be really careful when it comes to nose surgery.. If you can, don't do it. I'm a person who has received a lot of compliments on my recovery and regenerative ability no matter how many times I've had other surgeries, but this is an opportunity I've never had on my face or body. I knew not to touch it. After the nose surgery and additional sutures, I lost more than 5 million won in money due to the use of intravenous gels, oxygen treatment, etc., and was unable to return to work. As I repeatedly cut and sutured the surrounding skin tissue while performing additional sutures several times, my body was worse than the first time after the surgery. The tip of my nose was lowered a lot, but it was also a different nose than before the surgery, and I'm not going to touch it anymore, so I'm just going to live with satisfaction. Honestly, because it's artificial dermis, it feels a bit wider than silicone, so people who want a slimmer nose should get artificial dermis. I don't recommend autologous dermis. I think ear cartilage would be better than the nasal septum for the tip of the nose. When I searched before surgery, the nasal septum is good because it's your own cartilage, but you can't have a pig's nose. But what's the point of having a pig's nose in life? So I chose a nasal septum, but only a pig's nose doesn't work. Rather, it feels like there is a wooden chopstick on the end of the nose for support, so when you touch the nose, it feels hard and you can't twist it. If I had felt this way, I would have definitely chosen ear cartilage. This is the story of 3 months. If you have any questions, please leave a comment. I will answer as best as I can to the best of my knowledge! Everyone who is having a hard time right now, please cheer up. When I lived at Seongyesa, even a single comment was a great help! I won't accept comments asking for hospital information. The post-processing is really a mess, so I don't recommend it.
