+) Because of the early removal, I talked to the manager and he said that the silicone went in 2mm, not 3mm.
I decided to have a consultation on Monday and decide whether or not to have surgery.
I had eye and nose surgery last Thursday (20180510).
It's the 7th day since surgery, and I'm currently considering early removal of my nose. (I am satisfied with my eyes.)
1) Surgery details:
Correction of crooked nose after osteotomy / Correction of deviated septum / Grinding of hooked beak / Silicone 2mm / Nasal septum + ear cartilage at the
tip of the nose (I am not sure exactly whether the nasal septum was used for support...)
2) Consultation ( Request) Content:
I requested from the consultation that both my eyes and nose be natural.
I've always said that it's better for my facial features to be harmonious and that I don't want dramatic changes.
I didn't really want to raise the silicone, but since I was grinding my beaks,
I was told that only 1mm of silicone would be enough to smooth out the bridge of my nose. I thought it would make my eyebrows look narrow, but he said it was okay, so I said I knew.
I asked them to raise the tip of my nose because it droops down when I smile, and because I had a deviated septum, they said they would straighten my nose.
3) Surgery results and current situation
Unlike during the consultation, the silicone was raised to 2mm instead of 1mm, and it was clearly a surgically operated nose rather than a natural nose.
It was really absurd that they raised it as high as they wanted without the patient's consent... but it was already a few days after the surgery, so I just asked why?
As you can see in the photo, the nose may be pretty if you look at it separately, but it doesn't harmonize with my face and only the nose seems to be visible.
Especially from the side.
A few days ago, on the 2nd day of surgery, the tip of my nose looked too lifted, so I wrote a post worried that the tip of my nose would go down when the swelling goes down. The tip
of my nose seems to be going down little by little, but the tip of my nose is not the problem; my nose as a whole is raised too high.
I also have a lot of foreign body sensation in my nose.
I feel extremely depressed because I feel
guilty about ruining the nose that my parents gave me, and
because I can't go back to my natural nose even though it wasn't pretty.
I see myself worrying about bumping into my nose while going about my daily life, and
I wonder how I will live with this mindset for the rest of my life.
In conclusion, I regret it.
So now I am considering early removal.
I'm worried about early removal because my nose has been touched a lot...
I would like to ask for advice from teachers who have had nose surgery or nose removal surgery.
