I had the splint removed yesterday.
Actually, I did it again 14 years ago.
Back then, I put silicone on the bridge of his nose and used Alloderm on the tip of his nose.
The silicone went down almost to the tip of his nose, so when he smiled, it kept irritating the skin on the tip of his nose.
They tied the nose cartilage, attached it to the ear cartilage, and put silicone on it.
Will this last 20 years??
Honestly, I wouldn't know if I didn't touch it at all. I don't think there are any side effects unless you really remove the entire nose.
