I had surgery with silicone 19 years ago.
At that time, there was a popular program that performed plastic surgery on applicants selected through auditions, so I went to a famous doctor who had appeared on TV and had the surgery.
I should have been suspicious when the consultation ended in 5 minutes, but at the time, I had no information and was too young to make a judgment, so I made the wrong choice and lived for 19 years with a nose that was obviously surgically operated on.
At some point, the tip of my nose became upturned and uncomfortable, my nostrils became more prominent even from the front, and the cartilage and aggressive silicone on the tip of my nose stretched as if they were going to pop out, and there were even dents on both sides.
I went to an ENT clinic and they asked me if I had ever had nose surgery in an accident. I was so angry and sad.
People who have experienced a contracted nose know how much heartache it is. Since I am going to be reinstated next year, I thought I should not put it off any longer and should resolve it, so I registered on a plastic surgery cafe and sold my skills to gather information.
I chose autologous dermis, which has almost no side effects and is natural, hoping that it will be the last surgery.
I thought that autologous dermis is well-treated by someone with a long history, so I went to Suwon, which is famous for autologous dermis rhinoplasty, for a consultation, and I felt that they were a specialist in rhinoplasty and had the know-how, so I trusted them. I
went there thinking that I would just get a quick consultation, but I thought this was the place, so I made a reservation date and came back.
Rather than forcing the surgery, they divided it into the first and second stages and looked at the condition of my nose while managing inflammation, so it felt different from a factory-style hospital.
During the consultation, they didn’t show me before-and-after photos of other cases or show me the expected appearance through Photoshop, so I had vague anxiety right before the surgery.
During the additional consultation, they also mentioned osteotomy or alar reduction surgery, but they told me that it wasn’t a good fit for my case and gave me certainty about what the shape would be like after the surgery. During the consultation, I felt reassured because the director was paying attention to even the smallest details.
When I was getting the consultation, I just wanted my nose to be normal so that others wouldn’t stare, but after doing it, I thought to myself, why didn’t I have the courage until now? I should have done it sooner.
Even after COVID ends, I’ll wear a mask. I used to go around without taking it off, but after the surgery, my personality and mind seem to have healed. I
'm satisfied with just having my protruding nose fixed, but I'm also glad to have a comfortable nose
. Even though it's before the swelling goes down because it's before implantation, I'm satisfied because the overall line seems to be settling in nicely.
