<재수술 전><재수술 후>I heard that autologous ribs are good for the tip of the nose, so I had my first nose done at an ENT clinic when I was a student
with autologous ribs. However, unlike what I knew, the shape was very distorted for an autologous rib.
At that time, they used the cartilage at the very bottom and ear cartilage, but for some reason, the tip of my nose became strange as if it had contracted.
When I talked to the hospital, they said that my skin was slow to recover, let alone re-correct. I got
tired of fighting with the hospital where I had my first surgery, so my
dad, a plastic surgeon, took out my ear cartilage and reused my autologous ribs for the re-surgery.
Since it was for reconstruction purposes, I didn't like the shape.
I talked to my dad a lot about this and that, and he said that the upper part of the autologous ribs is better,
and the lower part is weaker.
The reason why there are many hospitals that use cartilage from the bottom is because it is difficult to harvest the upper costal cartilage.
So I thought this surgery would really be my last, and I looked for a place that used upper costal cartilage and was good at handling autologous ribs.
I ended up getting my third re-surgery
at two places. After much thought, I passed on the place that said to use rib cage surgery and finally chose one place.
It's been about 2 weeks now and I'm satisfied because the shape has improved a lot.
The area under my nose is still firm, but I'm not going to worry too much because they say it will get better over time
. This is my third rhinoplasty with autologous rib cage surgery, right?
I felt deeply that I absolutely have to get the surgery done by a director who is good at using rib cage surgery. If only I had known soonerㅜㅜ
The strength of the nose support is different, so
now I don't think much about my old nose and just want to keep it the way it is.
I'm writing a review in case there are any cases where people look for autologous rib cage revision surgery. I'll stop here.
