Here is a list of hospitals I went to for pre-operative consultations:
ㄹㅎ, ㅁㅋ, ㅁㅌ, ㅎㄴㅂ, but I ended up choosing ㅎㄴㅂ.
I went there because a friend recommended it, and it was the most trustworthy, and above all, instead of receiving a deposit on the spot, I only had to pay 10% of the surgery cost when setting the surgery date. Also, during the consultation, I thought Gore-Tex was better considering the natural look, no nose bridge showing, and other pros and cons, so I decided on Gore-Tex!
The surgery was a flat nose correction, but I decided on a nose bridge (Gore-Tex), nose tip (nasal septum + ear cartilage), and nostril reduction, and scheduled the surgery in the summer. I
went with my mom
on the day of the surgery,
and as soon as I got there, I took pictures, had a consultation with the director > after consulting with the hospital director, changed clothes , washed my face, gargled (it was beta-tin solution), and went straight into the surgery. I closed my eyes and opened them again,
and it was over. I didn’t have any swelling at all the first day, maybe because I had just had it done!
On the third day,
the hardest part was that because of the cotton, I had to breathe through my mouth and it felt like my throat was going to tear. So I kept eating things like peppermints. My
eyes were swollen like they had been pulled out and there was a bruise next to my nose.
It didn't hurt when the cotton was taken out and it was really refreshing, but it felt more like unclogging a toilet...?
After taking it out, I received oxygen therapy and a laser treatment for the swelling? and it was over.
And from that day on, I took Dangguisu-san, which is said to be good for swelling, three times a day and it was very effective.
In the first week,
the swelling went down day by day, and by the 4th day after the surgery, most of the facial swelling had gone down and only 10% of the bruising seemed to have remained,
so I had the cast removed and the stitches removed at the same time, and it hurt a lot. (Tears welled up)
But after taking the cast off, I really thought the surgery was a failure.. I was really depressed because it looked like someone put clay on my nose..
The nose line wasn't like my original nose line, but rather a raised nose like Pinocchio's nose, so I sighed every time I saw
it . I washed my face right after the stitches were removed and put on makeup two days later..ㅎㅎ
In the second week,
fortunately, the swelling was natural, and after consistently taking Dangguisusan and taking walks for an hour, most of the swelling went down.
Of course, the nose line also went down more, but the tip of the nose became thinner and they said that it would go down a bit more and become straight like the original nose line!
My parents, who were against the surgery, said that it was better, but my friends' reactions were mixed.
But I'm secretly proud because even people who don't know me say that I look so natural that they wouldn't recognize me if I looked at them that way. Haha.
In the third week,
I sometimes forget that I had my nose done, and I still touch my nose habitually, which
is a little scary. And the swelling needs to go down more, but so far, I haven't experienced any major discomfort!
