One month review of nose surgery
I had nose surgery in April and it has now been a month.
I will write a review to commemorate the one month anniversary of nose surgery.
Days 1 and 2
1. My face is a bit swollen.
2. Runny nose and nosebleeds keep coming and I can't breathe. I didn't put cotton in my nose, so I kept putting a gauze under my nose to wipe away the mucus and nosebleeds.
3. There is less pain than expected.
> It didn't hurt, but not being able to breathe through my nose was more uncomfortable than I thought. On the first and second days, I had to go to the hospital to get an antibiotic injection, but I had to keep wiping away the runny nose and nosebleeds while wearing a mask, which was uncomfortable and my throat was also very dry. The nosebleeds gradually decrease after the second day, but the runny nose continues. When I go to the hospital, they disinfect the inside of my nose, and it feels very refreshing.
Days 3-7:
1. My face is very swollen.
2. The runny nose is getting better, but the cough is terrible.
3. No pain at all if you don’t touch it.
4. On the 7th day, the splint was finally removed
> From the 3rd day, my face was really swollen. I didn't take pumpkin juice to get rid of the swelling because the doctors said it wasn't very effective. I heard that steaming was good, so I tried steaming, but it wasn't as effective as I thought, so I took a walk every day for about 1 hour and 30 to 2 hours, and the swelling went down very quickly! A walk is recommended to relieve swelling!! The splint was removed on the 7th day. I was really stressed out about the splint, so I was happy after it was removed. The stitches were only removed from the inside of the nose, and for people like me who had the ear cartilage and nose bridge reduced, the rest of the stitches were removed on the 10th day. It hurts quite a bit when the stitches are removed. .ㅎ
10th day of
watery eyes
1. No swelling
2. No pain unless you touch it
3. No runny nose unless you eat something hot or go for a hard walk (I didn't get a runny nose during a daily walk)
4. Removal of stitches from ears and nostrils
> Even stitches on the 10th day. After removing it, I can live my daily life without any problems. Of course, I make sure it doesn't impact my nose, and I can only exercise after a month, but other than that, everything else is possible. After nose surgery, the pores on my nose expand, so blackheads and sebum are no joke, so I can't do a nose pack right away. I took care of it with cleansing oil. Even if I take care of it every day, a lot of sebum accumulates, so take care of it well, everyone... haha
Day 30
1. There is still a scar on the columella
2. There is a scar on the inside of the nose
3. Ability to exercise
> After 10 days, there was no significant change in the nose and ears. It still hurts when I touch it, but it's okay if I stay still. The special thing is that there is a scar on the inside of the nose. When I asked the doctor, he said that the scar would be most noticeable in the 1-3 months and it would gradually get better, so I'm waiting and waiting. He also said that the scar on the columella should be seen by 3 months. I'm worried that it might happen, but I'm waiting.
The bottom line is that the first week to the 10th day after nose surgery is very difficult, but it's okay after that, so let's all just hold on for the 10th day! The doctor who performed the surgery was kind and asked me all the questions I had every time I went to the hospital, so I didn't have anything to worry about or feel anxious about! I hope everyone chooses the hospital well, especially the doctor, and has a pretty nose!
