Before I had the surgery, each day felt like a year, but after the surgery, I wonder why time seems to pass so quickly... Anyway, I don't know if my review will be helpful, but I'm writing this down for those who are considering surgery to take a look. ~
First of all, my nose bridge itself is not low, but the tip of my nose is straight away. It was a low, 'visible' nose.
Anyone who knows me will know that, when a profile picture is taken, if the bridge of my nose obscures the other eye, my nose bridge is not low. I definitely had a bridge of nose, but I realized how important the height of the tip of my nose was when I went to get a surgery consultation. At every hospital, the diagnosis is that although the bridge of the nose is present, the tip of the nose is very droopy, making it look low and blunt.
I've been to several hospitals, but all the other hospitals recommended osteotomy because my nose bone tends to be thick... Several hospitals mentioned osteotomy as well, so I was wondering if osteotomy was necessary, but as long as the tip and shape of the nose are properly shaped, it's thin enough without an osteotomy. I finally decided on a hospital that could help me look better.
My skin was thick, and when I stretched the tip of my nose with a cotton swab, it didn't fall out much. He recommended using ribs to prevent the nose tip from sagging, saying that if the tip of the nose like mine is raised a lot using the septum or cartilage, it has a tendency to come back. Since I have a narrow nose bridge, it was inevitable to raise the tip of the nose to match the shape. I had no concerns about using ribs. I had a high nose surgery in the past because of the blunt tip of my nose, so I also had foreign matter removed and decided to have silicone on the bridge of my nose, donor ribs on the tip of my nose, and nasal septum surgery!
There are a lot of reviews saying that foreign body removal is painful, but since this is my first nose surgery, I don't know how much of a difference the pain is with or without foreign body removal... However, in my case, I take painkillers regularly and follow the precautions given by the hospital. I took good care of it and I don't think it really hurt that much. It feels similar to the pain I often see in reviews of nose surgery.
In fact, rather than pain, it is difficult to breathe or sleep comfortably before removing the cotton. I think this was difficult, but time passed faster than I thought and when I came to my senses, I took off the splint in just 4 days and was able to return to normal daily life in the first week.
You can see it slightly in the photo, but by the week the bruise was turning yellow and slowly disappearing, this was easily covered with makeup. However, just in case, before I got dazed, I went out without makeup and wore a hat. Sometimes, when I look at reviews, I see quite a few people who have been putting on makeup since the first week, but I'm the type of person with severe safety anxiety, so I refrained from putting on makeup just in case.
As the director said, I only used the minimal amount of silicone and had surgery focusing on the tip of my nose. Even if I only improved the tip of my nose, my nose became much thinner and my image became much more refined. Since I had surgery for the tip of my nose, I will mainly post side-view photos.
