I had rhinoplasty because of a cleft lip and palate, and on the day I had difficulty breathing through my mouth, I was fine the next day after the gauze on my philtrum was removed. For about 3 days from the day the splint was removed, I had a lot of runny nose, so I kept tissues around. After that, the discomfort caused by the runny nose almost disappeared. The hardest thing was not being able to wash my hair for a week. Her ribs felt sore when she moved them for about a week, but after about two weeks they stopped hurting except when she coughed or sneezed. The swelling went down faster than I expected, and of course I can't say I'm 100% satisfied aesthetically because I had rhinoplasty for a cleft lip and palate, but I'm very satisfied with this because the lateral nose line seems to have come out really well.
